Product Name: Homopolymer of Maleic Acid (HPMA) used in alkaline water system
HPMA (similar to Ciba-Geigy Belclene200, Dequest P9000) is maleic acid polymeride, no toxicity, soluble in water, high chemical stability and thermal stability, decomposed temperature above 330 oC. It is suitable to be used in alkaline water system. Due to its good scale inhibition and high temperature tolerance properties, HPMA is widely used in desalination plant of flash vaporization equipment, low pressure boiler and industrial circulating cool water systems. In addition, HPMA has good corrosion inhibition effect when used together with zinc salt. HPMA can also be used as additives for cement, saline soil conditioner.

Character
HPMA is an excellent antiscale dispersant, the scale inhibition performance is much better than other polymers, inhibition effect on calcium carbonate in particular.
Advantages
1)HPMA polymeride excels in the high temperature heat transfer of cooling water conditions, such as extremely high temperature, it will maintain excellent heat dispersion effect by its superior antiscale dispersancy.
2)HPMA polymeride is the superior antiscalant and descalant of choice for boiler water treatment formulations as it provides high temperature resistance. The polymer makes it possible to easily transport iron with calcium and phosphate containing sludges for removal during blowdown.
Applications :
1) Industrial circulating water: as antiscalant and disincrustant.
2) Boiler water: HPMA polymeride is highly resistant to breakdown in aqueous solution under conditions of high temperature, pressure and pH.
Package and Storage Recommendation
Package: Freezing or long term cold storage of HPMA maleic acid polymeride may cause some separation of the components. Although product performance is not impaired as long as the whole container is heated and well mixed, it is recommended to keep HPMA maleic acid polymeride from freezing.
Storage:Normally in 200L plastic drum, IBC(1000L) can be used as required. Storage for one year in room shady and dry place.
