Properties & Application of Bronopol :
Bronopol is a kind of colorless or yellowish brown crystals with the m.p.of 130 °C,
and vapor pressure of 1.68 × 10-3Pa. It can be dissolved in acetone, 2 - methoxy
ethanol, and other organic solvents.
1.Widely used in water treatment, pharmaceutical, pesticide, cosmetics and detergent
industry as antiseptic substance and bactericidal agent.
2. It can effectively control a variety of plant pathogenic bacteria without harming any
plant.

Usage of Bronopol
It can effectively control a variety of plant pathogenic bacteria without harming any
plant. The treatment over cotton seed can effectively prevent cotton black arm disease
caused by bacteria without harming the cotton. The recommended dosage will be 800
~1000mg / L.
It can also be used as cosmetic preservatives added in shampoos, creams and
other cosmetics Balsam. The concentration in costmentic processiong is 0.01% -0.02%.
