Pentapeptide 18 is an amid peptide, a delta opioid agonist, is a degradation resistant long-acting Leu-enkephalin analog used to study the signaling pathway of delta opioid receptors. It targets in vitro the wrinkle-formation mechanism of expression wrinkles in a new way, offering an alternative to peptides like Acetyl Hexapeptide-3. It is a potent, long-acting Leu-enkephalin analog that is resistant to enzymatic degradation. It can be incorporated in cosmetic formulations such as emulsions, gels, and waxes where removal of the deep lines or wrinkles in the forehead or around the eyes is desired.

Pentapeptide-18 reduces the depth of wrinkles on the face caused by the contraction of muscles of facial expression, especially in the forehead and around the eyes. It targets in vitro the wrinkle-formation mechanism of expression wrinkles in a new way, offering an alternative to peptides like Acetyl Hexapeptide-3. It can be incorporated in cosmetic formulations such as emulsions, gels, and waxes.

Pentapeptide-18 is a neuropeptide mimicing the natural mechanism of enkephalins. It reduces the depth of stretch marks and wrinkles caused by the muscle contractions.
