UV 531(Benzophenone UV Absorber )

3. Introduction:
UV-531 is a benzophenone type UV absorber for plastics and other organic polymer. Owing to its strong, broad UV absorption properties and excellent polymer compatiliity. UV-531 exhibits very effiective protection of polymers against UV light exposure. UV-531 retards yellowing, embrittlement, and mechanical property degradation of the polymer when properly used.

5. Property:
1) very strong UV absorptivity in the ultraviolet region( especiallt in 240-340nm)
2) very low vapor pressure, prevernts product from loss during processing
3) no effect on the odor of the resins
4) very good compatibility with thermoplastic polymers owing to its octoxy substituent group, thus ensursing homogeneous distribution during processing.
5) high purity, no adverse effects due to impurties
6) very high heat resistance, without significant degradation or volatility at proper extrusion temperature

1) polypropylene: 0.2-0.5 wt% on the polymer weight
2) polyethylene: 0.2-0.5% wt% on the polymer weight
3) polyvinyl chloride:
0.5-2.0% for plasticized pvc by weight basis
0.5% for rigid pvc by weight basis

UV-531 can be safely handled without any irritation caused to the skin.
